No date, but ownership inscription for Christmas 1929 to the front free endpaper. Pp 240. Bound in the original green cloth which is still bright and clean although toned to the spine. Gilt decoration to the front board and lettering to the spine. Internally, sound in the binding, with a little foxing to the first and last gatherings, generally clean internally. At least a Very Good copy. Complete with all twelve colour illustrations by Jessie Wilcox Smith, and numerous green illustrations in the text. An inexpensive copy , especially in this nice condition.
