BRITAIN’S COTTONS 1960. Boxed samples supplied by the Cotton Board Home Trade Department, Manchester. Original blue card box covered in blue paper with printed label, photographic insert, and six compartments within, containing samples of cotton showing the production process, starting with American Cotton Boll, progressing to Cleaned Cotton, Carding, Slubbing and Roving, a Ring Tube of thread, a Mule Cop, and finishing with woven and dyed cloth samples. There is some damage to the box and inner compartments, and the lid is pierced , but otherwise the contents appear complete.
