Late C18th Scrimshaw work on Ox horn powder flask depicting two Royal figures, perhaps King George III and Queen Charlotte, with heraldic shield and “British Lion”. Length along curve of the horn 42cm, approx 29 cm tip to mouth of the horn. The engraving on the bone is delicately done, but still retaining the naïve look of such pieces. Purchased from an Antique dealer ( LAPADA member) who sourced the work from an Irish collection. An unusual and decorative piece.
